Has anyone else gotten a virus off dA?

Yesterday my computer was infected by a virus, most likely from one of the dA ads (it's the only site I was browsing). It was some sort of redirector trying to sucker the victim into getting "perfect defender" anti-virus (which is a scam, don't bother looking it up). How ironic. This is a 5 year old windows installation that has never had a single virus on it so it's unlikely I installed it myself.

And then it just happened again a few minutes ago: I logout of my dA account and get redirected to some moronic fake computer scan page trying to make me believe my computer is infected. Which it isn't (well not anymore).

It seems like dA is using some rather unreliable ad providers I'm not really surprised (they're clearly all about the $$) but I am getting pissed.

Yeah I moved... that's why I haven't been around here much. Very busy setting up the new place properly. It's getting there! Hopefully I'll have time to take more pictures and put them up this summer

...well almost. It was freaking cold this morning. I'm looking forward to snow this year. Hopefully it'll mean nice bird pictures as they all stop hiding and come out for food

At last, I'm back from vacation! I spent a week on a 3000 km trip to Radisson. It was great though all the driving is exhausting. I saw an insane number of trees; that's pretty much all there is for the last 800 km of road. I took over 500 pictures so I should have a few interesting ones to put up over the next few weeks.

The visit of the power plants near Radisson is totally insane. Everything is just incredibly huge. There are no words for it. Just figure there's enough power flowing out of there to send a couple of DeLoreans through time That's several Gigawatts for those not keeping count, or too young to have seen to movie. Getting near one of the alternators feels like walking inside a giant hairdryer.

It's just sad we weren't allowed to take cameras inside... though all the electricity flowing there could probably have killed a digital camera from a good distance. So maybe it's a good thing after all.

I thought it was about time to replace that journal about snow since summer is coming quickly This will hopefully mean more pictures! Though I fear it'll be hard to fit everything in normal weeks. There's quite a bit going on right now... girlfriend moved in, I have to catch mice because my cat won't ( [link] ), getting the bike out again for summer, cleaning up my place, keeping up with friends, etc. Still, I hope I'll have nice pictures to put up in the coming weeks.
